In 1938-1941 studied at The Art College of Astrakhan.

In 1947-1950 studied at The Art College of Penza under I.S. Goryushkin-Sorokopudov, an important Russian realist painter who founded the notorious Penza School of Painting.

Began exhibiting in 1955.

In 1950-1955 taught art at The Art School of Penza.
