Dyatlov, Boris(1924 - 1990)
Boris Dyatlov was born in Novosibirsk and later lived in Moscow. In 1946, after serving in the war, he entered the Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts in Moscow. There he was selected to the class of A.A. Deineka, one of the most important masters of Soviet art. In 1952 Dyatlov graduated and joined the Union of Artists of the USSR and began exhibiting his works in 1954. His major works were murals and mosaics for public buildings in Barnaul ( drama theatre), Karaganda ( theatre), Novorossiysk ( port terminal) as well as large oils. Some of these are now kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow and A.A. Deineka Picture Gallery in Kursk.
