Glebov, Fyodor Petrovich(1914-1980)
Fyodor Glebov was born in Moscow. In 1932-1936 he studied at Moscow Art College named in memory of the Revolution of 1905 under N.P. Krymov. He has been exhibiting since 1934. In 1946 he joined the Artists’ Union of the USSR. In 1968 Glebov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. For a long period he worked as a graphic artist and book illustrator. Since the mid- 60’s he mainly painted landscapes using the strict system of color and tint in the tradition of his great teacher, N. Krymov. Krymov brought up the whole generation of 20th century Russian landscape painters. Home |
