Krechetov, Victor Dmitriyevich(b. 1932)
Victor Krechetov was born in Novosibirsk. In 1951 he entered the Art College in Alma-Aty, Kazakhstan. In 1961 he went to Leningrad (St. Petersburg) to study at the most important Russian higher art school – The Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. Repin. There he studied under V. Oreshnikov and B. Ugarov. After graduating in 1967 he returned to Novosibirsk. Since then he has taught painting in the local art college. He has also been an active member of Novosibirst’s department of the Artists Union participating in regular regional, zonal and All Russia exhibitions with his portraits, cityscapes and compositions. |
