Zharenova, Eleonora Alexandrovna

Eleonora Zharenova  - one of the leading Moscow monumental decorators.  In 1954 – 1960 she studied at the Moscow Surikov Art Institute under one of the most important Russian artists of the mid-20th century, A.A. Deineka.  He ran a studio of monumental art  and also gave his pupils the classical Realist education which enabled them to work as easel painters and graphic artists.  Her first big project was the decoration with stained glass and bas-relief at the Yakutsk Airport.  Eleonora bears the title of the Merited Artist of the Russian Federation.  Her works are kept in The State Tretiakov Gallery in Moscow, The Russian Museum, St. Petersburg Art Museum of Taganrog, Art Museum of China and the Art Fund of Russia.
